Developer HB Studios is announcing that it is working on a new simulation title called The Golf Club, which is set to be launched on the PC, the Xbox One from Microsoft and the PlayStation 4 from Sony in 2014.

The team wants to create a complex experience that can offer strong competition to the new PGA Tour game from EA Sports, which will no longer have the Tiger Woods brand.

The Golf Club will use realistic physics and will simulate all the core aspects of the sport, while making sure that the loading games are unnoticeable and there are no waiting times for multiplayer lobbies.

The team will simulate a number of very popular courses, but there is also an option to create procedurally generated game areas.

HB Studios wants to ship the new title with an editor that gives all players the freedom to put together their own courses.
