Since August 9, 2014, when 18-year-old Michael Brown was gunned down on the streets of Ferguson, Missouri, United States, by white policeman Darren Wilson even though he was unarmed and, according to several eyewitnesses, with his hands in the air, this St. Louis suburb has been the place of countless protests and acts of violence.

It continues to be so at the time of writing.

A handful of high-profile rappers have also gotten together to plead for the violence to stop, but mostly to plead for the lives of other innocent African American youth, by speaking against police brutality and racism and racial profiling.

This one is a track that doesn’t pull any punches when it comes to delivering its core message.

The Game has released a song called “Don’t Shoot (Ferguson Anthem),” in collaboration with heavyweights like Rick Ross, 2Chainz, Diddy, DJ Khaled, Swizz Beatz, Fabolous, Wale, Problem, Yo Gotti, Curren$y, King Pharaoh and TGT.

This is the second Ferguson protest song released online since the incident that prompted the social unrest, after J. Cole recorded the very emotional song “Free.”
