Selfie sticks and monopods are banned from WWDC 2015

Apple has announced that the highly anticipated Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) event will take place between June 8 and 12, 2015, in San Francisco, USA, at the Moscone West Center. WWDC 2015 gathers together the entire developer community of Apple so that they could learn about the future of the OS X and iOS operating systems.

Dubbed "The epicenter of change," WWDC 2015 is Apple's main event for aspiring and renowned developers who want to learn more about the upcoming features that will be implemented in the iOS mobile operating system used in millions of iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch devices worldwide, as well as the powerful the Mac OS X computer operating system.

Highlights of WWDC 2015 include over 100 technical sessions, hands-on labs, more than 1,000 Apple engineers, and the well-known Apple Design Awards, which will be presented to select developers whose apps have the most useful functionality and beautiful design.

Professional video and audio recordings are not allowed at WWDC 2015

Those who plan on attending the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) event this year should keep in mind that professional video and audio recordings are not allowed. In addition, Apple does not allow attendees to take selfies with selfie sticks or similar monopods inside the WWDC 2015 event.

"You are not permitted to make audio or audiovisual recordings of WWDC or take professional photographic or video equipment, or wearable recording devices into Moscone West or Yerba Buena Gardens," is stated in Apple’s rules for WWDC 2015. "In addition, you may not use selfie sticks or similar monopods within Moscone West or Yerba Buena Gardens."
