Lenovo is currently skittish about jumping onboard of the dual-OS party

There has been a lot of fuss about dual-OS as of late. ASUS for one, unveiled its 4-in-1 Transformer Book Duet machine, capable of switching between Android and Windows in a mere 4 seconds at CES 2014.

And according to Intel more devices will be joining the race, offering customers a much needed functionality (if you listen to the chip-maker).

But there are some manufacturers that aren’t convinced this is the future. And one of them is Lenovo. In a recent interview with TabTimes, Lenovo President for North America, Jay Parker explained he believes the future of tablets lies in multi-mode models not dual-OS devices.

When asked about it, he said he finds the whole dual-OS system a bit complicated and maybe even too expensive.

“Generally I believe the customer wants simplicity and ease of use. I’m not sure dual boot system provide that.’”

“What I believe is the big change in the industry is the multi-mode device, the idea that I have a device that’s a tablet, and it’s a computer when I want it to be and it’s a seamless experience on one OS.”

Parker also took the opportunity to mention Lenovo’s Yoga PC is the number one selling 2-in-1 device in the US. As it appears, we won't see Lenovo join the dual-OS bandwagon too soon. So what do you think? Dual-OS or multi-mode?
