Today's mobile market is already amazing, but it seems that more will be coming in the next several years or so.

Handsets have already started to play a great role in the life of users, especially smartphones, which now replace even the computer at home, or the wallet in one's pocket.

Undoubtedly, the future will be dominated by mobile, and, even if there is no way to predict how device will look like in 10 or 20 years' time, we can still make an idea of what the mobile segment will have to offer.

All in all, based on what smartphone users have at their disposal today, we can safely assume that all will be better, even amazing. More power, more features and more services will be available for them, one can assume.

Strictly related to handsets, we should expect for new technologies to be packed with all of them, such as Near field communication (NFC), or newer wireless technologies.

NFC is already available in some smartphones on shelves today, but this is only the beginning, it seems. Soon, all mobile phones might include the technology, making it simpler for users to pay for goods.

Moreover, future wireless advancements would also make it to phones. What might be the successor of today's 4G could easily be included in devices some 20 years from now.

Not to mention that they are expected to pack projectors for easing users' work, or to sport wireless charging technologies that will no longer require a wider charge to be carried around at all times.

Recently, Samsung showcased a set of flexible screens that might arrive on mobile devices soon, and chances are that the phones of the future will actually sport such displays. Flexible cases might also be there for users to enjoy.

At the same time, future mobile phones are expected to include increasingly powerful photo snappers, which would result at one point in the death of digital cameras.

Along with these device-related features, the mobile ecosystem will also be driven by an increased focus on services, such as location-based ones, including navigation, check-ins, and more.

The cloud already represents an important factor in users' lives, and it should play a greater role in the future, some suggest.

While these 'previsions' are based on current trends on the mobile market, there certainly are some other changes that the ecosystem will suffer and which will be unveiled only in a several years' time.
