For the retailers, Black Friday is when they can make out 30 to 40 percent of their yearly revenue. Walmart announced 10 million sales yesterday, mostly comprising TVs, laptops, smartphones and tablets.

“Walmart processed nearly 10 million register transactions and almost 5,000 items per second,” their statement reads, in a report by NewsFeed.

For shoppers, Black Friday is that time of year when it's OK to look incredibly silly while you are battling a 70-year-old for a plasma TV.
