The next iPhone will supposedly be nearly indestructible

If you believe what's on this list, you will see that the next-generation iPhone is hard to kill or destroy. Apple has apparently made a phone that will not break easily, so the cell phone repair industry will slowly die because of lack of customers.

The information was published by CultofMac and it comes from a supposedly reliable source in China. Some of the below have been announced by the Chinese carrier, China Mobile, right on their website. They have not been confirmed, so take everything with a grain of salt.

What is new?

As expected, the Cupertino, California-based tech giant will release two different phones – a 4.7-inch diagonal display iPhone 6 and a larger 5.5-inch screen dubbed iPhone 6 Plus.

Also, the devices will come out in 3 colors: space grey, silver/white and gold. Apple will use a sapphire coating technology for their devices, but not only on the high-end ones, but all of them.

The smaller iPhone 6 will get an 1810 mAh battery, which is pretty small if you compare it to an Android device. Then again, Apple controls the hardware and the software and that may hold down the balance for them.

All models will get 4G LTE connectivity and the release date is on September 19, 10 days after the event.

What is interesting?

The sapphire glass may break if dropped. However, Apple's housing was designed in such a way that it is absorbing the shock waves, so the iPhone 6 is shatter-proof.

The 5.5-inch device will get 2GB of RAM – a huge bump from the current chip. Also, the 4.7-inch iPhone will get only 1GB of RAM. Does Apple want to make the bigger iPhone 6 Plus their flagship device for the next year, at least?

The A8 CPU will be dual core, and the device will have a TV-out option. If this is not the AirPlay mode every new iPhone already has, then the phone may get some kind of cable powered by the lightning connector, which is pretty hard to believe.

All this info seems to be taken out of a specs sheet published in a booklet or on the actual box of the device. The dimensions will be 137.5 x 67 x 7 mm (5.41 x 2.64 x 0.28 in). At the same time, the smaller iPhone 6 will get a resolution of 960 x 1704 pixels and a 416 PPI pixel density.

The screen will be made of shatter-proof sapphire crystal glass, oleophobic content, and will make the device water resistant. The iPhone will come out in sizes of 16, 32, 64, and 128 GB. If that was not enough, the device will have NFC and WiFi 802.11 ac dual band.
