The music game genre is one of the most popular ones in recent times. It has won over many gamers across the world due to the fact that they, along with their family or friends, can play great songs and envision themselves on the stages of the biggest concert halls on Earth.

Two franchises that have taken the whole genre to a whole new level are Guitar Hero and Rock Band, but while the developers of the former are hard at work creating a special Beatles-themed game, the team at Activision is already approaching the final stage in the development of a special Metallica-themed Guitar Hero game. The title, which will bring songs from one of the most popular rock bands in the world, promises to offer players a completely awesome experience and introduce a few new things in order to make veterans interested in the game.

Among those is the Expert+ difficulty setting, which can be used on the drums, allowing you to play with the extra bass pedal, for a much more tricky experience. The game, which will be released on March 29, features some new concert halls, including the L.A. Forum, Tushino Airfield, and The Hammersmith Odeon, venues that were filled to full capacity when the famous rock band concerted there.

Now, after a lot of speculation, the band has finally released the complete tracklist, which contains the songs that will appear in the game. Among the obvious Metallica ones, other bands like Queen, Slayer or System of a Down will also appear in the game.
