Last week, the world got its first look at the new Flash costume that is going to be featured on the “Arrow” series, but it was only a close-up of the head, which, at first glance seemed to keep everything in accordance with the comics character.

Today, there is a full photo available of the superhero in his signature red suit adorned with yellow drawings of a lightning flash from Comic Book Resources. The costume was designed by Colleen Atwood, who has also been responsible for other costumes on the series.

The CW network hopes fans are going to be excited at the concept art and also at the coming “Flash” pilot which is currently in the works and is set to reveal how the scientist Barry Allen, played by Grant Gustin, becomes the superhero known as The Flash, a man with superhuman speed.

The character was first introduced in the “Arrow” series last December and now he is getting his own standalone pilot. The script for the pilot is being written by Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg, David Nutter is billed as the director, and the cast will include Candice Patton, Carlos Valdes, Rick Cosnett and Danielle Panabaker.

Grant Gustin is going to play the role of Barry Allen, a scientist who becomes the Fastest Man Alive by a freak accident. This storyline has been revealed in “Arrow” when Allen last appeared and he was still struggling to cope with his new super powers.
