All of your favorite “Frozen” characters are set to make a return to the big screen sooner than you might think. After the massive success of the animated production in cinemas, it was to be expected that the studio picked up the action in a brand new production.

The Independent reports that a short film acting as a direct sequel to the movie will be coming out in 2015. This is despite the fact that the producers of the film have denied any plans for a feature-length big screen sequel.

The official synopsis for the following short says that “It’s Anna’s birthday and Elsa and Kristoff are determined to give her the best celebration ever, but Elsa’s icy powers may put more than just the party at risk.”

Apart from all the characters you know and love, the producers have also promised that there will be a new song in the short as well, written by Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez, the husband and wife songwriting duo who created the original hit “Let It Go.”

The announcement was made during a television broadcast of the documentary “The Story of Frozen: Making an Animated Classic.” If you can't wait until next year, there is a sing-along “Frozen” DVD coming out this November to keep you satisfied.
