With all the commotion surrounding Apple’s five-year App Store anniversary and the latest iPhone / iPad leaks, I forgot to give you the heads up regarding a new version of Yelp for iPhone.

Available as a free download to all users of iOS 5.0, Yelp 6.9.0 adds a preview screen after taking a photo, allowing users to take perfect shots instantly. According to Yelp, “now you have no excuse for not getting that picture of your meal perfect.”

I’m dreaming of a world where taking pictures of dishes is punishable by prison.

Jokes aside, the new version also includes some general improvements, tweaks that make Yelp more compatible with iOS 7. In case you’re rocking the beta from Apple, go ahead and download the new Yelp 6.9.0 with confidence.

For the rest of the world, supported devices include iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod touch 3rd generation, iPod touch 4th generation, iPod touch 5th generation and iPad on iOS 5.
