Mikoishi, the Singapore-based game developer and Nexon Mobile, the Korean game developer and publisher, recently announced the upcoming release of SteamIron: The Fallen, declared by Mikoishi as being "the world's first true online Real Time Strategy game for mobile phones". The game will be released in November this year and, according to the Mikoishi website, it features "intense gameplay aimed at the shorter time frames that are necessary for mobile". Also, it includes generous real-time multiplayer options, guilds, tournaments, leagues, multiplayer matching, global rankings and buddy lists.

"SteamIron: The Fallen was designed specifically to cater to the massive RTS fan base in Korea", said Alex Goatcher, Chief Executive Officer of Mikoishi. "In the past, RTS games have been tried on mobile but have failed due to the lack of cooperative and competitive gameplay. Now RTS games can now be played in a swift, fair and controlled mobile environment."

Especially created for 3G devices, SteamIron: The Fallen is an epic sci-fi fantasy game that conveys the player in an alternate history universe, a future without the electronic evolution that we know today. Still, there are inter-stellar space ships and advanced technologies.

Joonmo Kwon, Chief Executive Officer of Nexon Mobile, said: "We are excited to bring SteamIron to RTS fans in Korea and this unprecedented real-time multiplayer gaming experience available through the mobile platform is further testament to the capabilities of Mikoishi's cross-platform online gaming technology, Theatre."

Other 3G games, like Awakening and Ferrom Rising, are also planned to be released in the future. There is no word whether SteamIron: The Fallen will be available in Europe or the US, but considering its features, I believe it should be. After all, gamers all over the world want good games and SteamIron: The Fallen sure looks like one.
