The same day it unveiled the new and feature-packed G705 slider, Sony Ericsson also came up with its very-first digital photo frame, called Sony Ericsson IDP-100.

Presented as an accessory fit to go hand in hand with any SE Cyber-Shot handset, the IDP-100 weighs 320 grams, measures 205 x 145 x 25 millimeters and brings the following features:

– a 7 inch screen with 800 x 480 pixels, a 400:1 contrast ratio and "brilliant and vivid colors";

– auto-rotation for viewing photos in both landscape and portrait mode;

– touch control, directly from the frame's menu, so that no remote is needed;

– Digital Image Correction (DIC) for automatically adjusted images;

– inbuilt Bluetooth for easy photo transfers;

– USB 2.0, Memory Stick Micro, microSD and microSD Duo cards compatible;

– 128MB of internal memory, enough to store up to 500 photos;

– and world clock with three time zones.

Pointing out that "memories are priceless and irreplaceable", Jacob Sten, head of the accessories division at Sony Ericsson, stated, "The IDP-100 Digital Photo Frame is the perfect companion to your Cyber-shot phone and lets you display your favorite moments easily and in high quality for all to see. However, it's not just mobile phone users that can benefit from the IDP-100. We are proud that the frame receives stores and displays up to 500 still images through a variety of options. Once uploaded they are automatically rotated, enhanced and re-sized to fit the frame – so that you can enjoy your memories instantly."

The IDP-100 should be a perfect companion for Sony Ericsson's C905, the company's first 8.1 Megapixel phone that should hit the market in the next few months.

Sony Ericsson says that the IDP-100 Digital Photo Frame will be commercially available starting the fourth quarter of 2008, in a dark gray color version. Its price was not announced, but we do know that only "select markets" will receive the new SE product.
