EM ONE - Outstanding looks matching a pretty good spec sheet

The EM ONE handset, manufactured by Sharp, is the first mobile phone to feature Nvidia's revolutionary GoForce 5500 chipset and, from the looks of it, it is a device which will not disappoint. Although it doesn't run the latest Windows Mobile operating system launched by Microsoft, its WM5 OS will be good enough to tame the skills of the Nvidia chipset.

Being in such a privileged position, the EM ONE handset has been equipped with a pack of features ready to face whatever challenges the GoForce chipset may give it.

Its spec sheet mentions a removable QWERTY keyboard (just like the one on the HTC Advantage), a Marvell PXA270 processor running at 520 MHz, 128 MB of RAM, Bluetooth 1.2 connectivity, a 4.1 inch VGA touchscreen with a 800x480 pixels resolution, a 1.3 megapixel digital camera with CMOS sensor, WLAN Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g connectivity, 3G HSPDA capable of reaching speeds of up to 3.6 Mbps, miniSD memory expansion card slot for the ones with lots of love for big storage spaces, miniUSB interface, Opera Mobile browser, Picsel PDF viewer and Mobile Office.

The price of this device however will make you think twice before deciding if you want to buy or not and, if this is not enough to make you ponder a little about getting it home, than, it being unlockable due to the awkward Japanese way of making cellphones and their weird type of telecommunication networks will surely make you give it a second thought.

Whatever the final result of your meditating session will be, I'm sure you will still want to give it a try or at least a short "driving" test of some sort. But, until you'll be able to do that, you will still have to wait a word from the Japanese that they will send it our way to let us try it at least for a few minutes because, at the moment, there is no official word of it coming our way.

If they won't and if they will take the decision to keep all for themselves then... watch out people, because we're coming to get it!
