It appears that Sony and Samsung share almost equally my news day, as each one of them launched more then 20 different products, all nice and all worth a headline.

Consequently, I'll give you the next device coming in line - Sony's MEX-BT5000 car stereo, an innovation for the market segment, but also for the company, as this good-looking little now-it-all car system is, in fact, an audio-streaming AM/FM CD receiver with wireless Bluetooth technology, enabling the user to connect any given mobile device which has a Bluetooth capability to Sony's BT5000.

But, what is so great about it is the fact that you can store up to 50 phonebook contacts and six speed-dial entries from the handset via Bluetooth and, of course, you can also dial your friend's number and talk to him/her. You will also benefit from an enhanced clear high-resolution screen, which will display all the important info creating one hell of a hands-free experience.

"The Sony MEX-BT5000 is able to playback a number of audio formats including MP3, WMA and ATRAC and the good old audio Cds. All Sony Ericsson Walkman phones with Bluetooth capabilities are also compatible with stereo and one can transmit and stream music from the phone to the vehicle. Some other features found on the audio system include DRIVE-S HX CD playback mechanism, Dynamic Soundstage Organizer II, 24-bit Digital-to-Analog conversion, S-MOSFET power stage and is also satellite-radio ready. The MEX-BT5000 car stereo will be available in August for around $400," writes Mobile Whack.

The Sony MEX-BT5000 includes an onboard BBE MP signal processing technology which is said to enhance and restore the depth of sound that is often lost during MP3 compression, an integrated microphone, which eliminates the need for an additional wiring and diminishes noise and echo produced by signal processing.
