Cooler Master announced its first solution for the AMD dual core K8 (Socket M2) and Opteron CPU named Susurro.

Susurro means whisper in Latin, and the new cooler is said to achieve the 16 dbA silence level. The new device is especially designed for the low profile system.

Susurro is completely equipped with a high quality cooper heatsink for providing maximum heat dissipation. Without its frame, Susurro has a 92
mm circular fan that is suited to fit a slim type system. Also, it intakes the cool air efficiently from its surroundings for achieving the best cooling performance. The new cooler from Cooler Master can be part of a pleasant and quiet working environment, also cooling the dual core system.

In today's fast-moving competitive business environment, companies in all industries have recognized the importance of speed. Cooler Master claims that it is constantly seeking ways to increase speed in every aspect of its operations, while maintaining flawless quality. The company constantly monitors market conditions and customer requirements to maintain real-time knowledge in order to deliver solutions before competitors even recognize what the solutions are.

As for dual core processors, it is a known fact that multi core processors will begin to reach the entry level markets and go mainstream. Researchers say that in 2007, most of the processors will feature two processing engines, and the single core CPUs will become a rarity. In the same period, Intel and AMD (Advanced Micro Devices) announced their roadmap, saying that they will launch the quad core processors in 2007. Then a new transition process will begin.

Martin Reynold, analyst at Gartner Research, said that "by 2007, dual-core processors will represent the majority of units shipped. Dual-core processors will deliver the greatest advance in performance since the introduction of the 386, but developers and users must test and tune their software to receive the full benefit of this performance boost."
