Asus, the Taiwanese electronics producer, has announced the future availability of Asus P320 for the Indian mobile market. The P320 is part of Asus' 2008 line-up of Pocket PCs and comes to India after another two handsets, the M930 and the exquisite Lamborghini ZX1, were released.

First presented back in March, during CeBIT 2008, Asus P320 attracts users with its small size and its simple but elegant design. The Pocket PC measures only 99 x 55 x 13 millimeters and weighs 105 grams, being one of the tiniest handsets of this kind.

Despite its reduced size, the P320 packs a wide range of nice features, including: built-in GPS, Wi-Fi, a 2.6 inch TFT touchscreen display with 65K colors and 240 x 320 pixels, quad-band GSM connectivity (850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz) with GPRS and EDGE, Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR, Music and Video players, email, Web browser, Office Mobile, organizer, USB, a 2 Megapixel camera with auto focus and video recording - all running on the latest Windows Mobile 6.1 OS.

Talking about the new Pocket PC, Mr. Edward Wang, Business Head, Mobile Communication Business, ASUS India, stated: "The ASUS P320 is designed stylishly and is by far the smallest ASUS PDA Phone. The size of the phone is compact and handy, and it is meant not only for business professionals but it is also a fashion gadget for all youngsters, students and ladies. The phone is competitively priced as ASUS would like more people to enjoy the benefits of using a PDA Phone. People will find it very easy to use this phone due to our brand new ASUS Today interface. The ASUS P320 will bring about a new wave in the PDA Phone market in India with its brand new user experience."

The tiny Asus P320 should be available across India in three colors (black, white and pink) starting the next few weeks, for a retail price of only 12,900 INR (about $303 or 192 Euros).
