Another gaming season is about to start...

It's been a long wait, but finally the most wanted demo of the year is available. I'll spare you the chat, as I'm sure you're anxious to check out Ronaldinho's skills in a tough Manchester United versus Barcelona match. You can download the demo here and be sure to let your fellow FIFA fans know about it.

In the demo version of FIFA 08 you'll get the chance to play as 7 major teams, like Man. U, Barcelona or AC Milan. Since we've just watched the UEFA Supercup a few days ago, you'd probably want to check out Milan's form, since they've just won another trophy. In case you're a console gamer, stop envying those lucky PC gamers, because you're also going to get a demo...sooner or later. What surprises me about FIFA 08 is that it will come out on the PS2 and Wii, aside from the predictable next-gen releases.

I wonder if the "rusty" consoles can live up to the game's top-notch requirements. Once again EA have done a marvellous job and this week's been a thriller for the sports games fans. First we've seen the NHL 08 demo surfacing on the Xbox Live Marketplace and now this... Just in case you forgot, be sure to keep an eye out for the full game, at the end of the current month, when EA's latest footballing masterpiece will be launched.

The gameplay experience has been improved and the players are now able to make hundreds of decisions per second, thanks to a great AI. Say "Goodbye!" to the glitchy camera and public, as FIFA 08's graphics are now much more realistic. Also, the team rosters have been updated, so there's no point in transferring players around in order to get a decent simulation, even if you're a nostalgic player who wants Thiery Henry back at Arsenal.
