Since “The Expendables 3” leaked online last week, way ahead of the official release, it’s not exactly a surprise that the film is now at the top of the most pirated movies list.

The screener that has made its way online isn’t as good as a DVD copy or the real thing in cinemas, but pirates will make do with what they can get their hands on. Therefore, “The Expendables 3,” which has a really impressive cast (Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Wesley Snipes, Antonio Banderas, Dolph Lundgren, Mel Gibson, Harrison Ford and more), is the top most downloaded film of the past week.

Considering the fact that the screener made its way online sometime between Thursday and Friday, the feat is that much more impressive.

The second spot is taken by another new entry and that’s “Divergent,” the first movie out of yet another series based on novels. While the cast for this particular franchise doesn’t really include any big names, aside from a few actors such as Kate Winslet, the movie has been a hit in cinemas mainly due to the success of the books, reveals the chart published by TorrentFreak.

“The Other Woman,” with Cameron Diaz, has been pushed to number three, while last week’s top movie among the preferences of the world’s pirates, “Need for Speed,” is down to number four.

Up next is “The Amazing Spider-Man 2,” which managed to climb a few spots since last week, hinting at a rising interest among Internet users.

A HDTS copy of “Transformers: Age of Extinction” is also on the list, slipping from the fifth to the sixth spot, while “Noah,” once a leader in the chart, can be found at number seven.

The next new entry of the week is “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes,” which is only in TS version, meaning it’s nowhere near as high quality as some would hope. Even so, the movie is getting quite a bit of attention online and it’s quite likely that it will climb through the chart in the coming weeks.

Johnny Depp’s “Transcendence” is up at number nine, crashing from the third spot which it occupied last week.

The list is wrapped up by “Hercules Reborn,” the last new entry of the week. The movie features John Hennigan, also known as John Morrison on the WWE scene, and has managed to fly under the radar up until now.
