The game will allow players to battle in locations from Somalia to Burma

Video game publisher Ubisoft has announced that it is working on an Expendables 2 title that is set to be launched during the summer season on the PlayStation Network from Sony, the Xbox Live Arcade service from Microsoft and the PC.

The game will allow players to control mercenaries like Barney Ross, Gunner Jensen, Hale Caesar and Yin Yang in order to tackle a number of challenges in the over-the-top manner pioneered by the movie.

The Expendables 2 Videogame is designed to serve as a prequel to the new movie in the series, with the team following the trail of a kidnapped billionaire and setting of a chain of events leading to explosions and action.

The game will allow gamers to join cooperative session, both local and online, in order to fill up the entire squad as they travel to locations ranging from the jungles of Burma to the deserts of Somalia.
