By all means this is one piece of happy news. And I guess you should really consider this since I am that enthusiast about an iPod docking station...and since I am not a fan of the Apple player and neither am I too much into portable speakers. Nevertheless, the Evolve from Griffin is one piece of tech
that makes a hell of a difference.

For those who don't know (yet) what Evolve is all about, I'll just say some words on the issue. If until now, portable speakers/dock meant that you had to stick your player in its designated plug and then hit play, just to hear the music and have the battery

recharged, things are so much more evolved now. With your everyday docks, it's true you no longer need huge and complex sound systems to enjoy your portable music, yet if you feel like having the iPod tunes in the kitchen, you definitely have to move the dock.

Evolve sports a simply great engineering idea: the dock sits in place and you can take only the speakers with you. How? It`s easy: wireless connectivity working to a distance up to 150 feet and, of course, rechargeable batteries in each speaker.

Place the cubic, awesome-designed speakers on the dock and have them play and charge, or take them away and carry the sound with you! Swell!

The Griffin Evolve will provide you with a playback time of up to 10 hours between loudspeaker charging cycles and promises CD quality audio while each loudspeaker sports its own on/off switch and the system has an automated sleep function for energy saving. And to make things even neater, the Evolve comes with a comprehensive-functionality RF remote control for your extended comfort and listening pleasure.

Griffin Evolve is available now, for the lowest price of $350...it may seem a tad too much for a docking system but it isn't...as it delivers so much more than your common similar units.
