While Bethesda focused on big games like Doom at QuakeCon 2014 yesterday, it also took the time to confirm that The Evil Within, the new title from Japanese developer Tango Gameworks, was going to launch a week earlier than planned, starting its rollout on October 14.
The Evil Within is one of the most anticipated horror games of the year, largely due to the fact that Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami, together with his team at Tango Gameworks, was given free hand by publisher Bethesda to create something really terrifying.
The game so far has managed to impress and scare quite a lot of fans through eerie videos and screenshots, and now it seems that people will be able to get terrified earlier than anticipated.
Bethesda revealed at QuakeCon, via Twitter, that The Evil Within was going to start its launch schedule on October 14, one week earlier than previously announced.
Bear in mind that it debuts just in North America on October 14. It's still set to appear in Europe with a traditional three-day delay, meaning it's going to launch on the old continent on October 17.
The Evil Within is going to appear for PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One platforms.
