Video game developer Tango Gameworks and publisher Bethesda are delivering a new gameplay trailer for their upcoming The Evil Within, which is designed to give players a first look at a new enemy called Boxman.

The companies state, "When the video opens, he finds his world has been turned upside down. Fighting for survival in a world where hideous creatures wander among the dead, Sebastian embarks on a frightening journey to unravel who or what is behind this unimaginable evil."

The footage is pretty scary but most fans of the previous work of Shinji Mikami will not be too surprised to see the design choices he is making for The Evil Within.

The title is set to be launched on the PlayStation 4 from Sony, the Xbox One from Microsoft, current gen consoles and the PC.

It will be offered in North America on August 26 and three days later in Europe.

The development team has promised that it will create a classic survival horror experience, which will challenge gamers to use limited resources in order to explore an environment that constantly transforms around the player.

Mikami has said that he is aiming to create a tortured protagonist and some unique designs for his enemies.
