The add-on takes players back to Morrowind, sort of

Bethesda has just unleashed a full batch of details concerning its upcoming Dragonborn expansion for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, which takes players back to the province of Morrowind, where the third game in the series took place.

The Dragonborn DLC for Skyrim impressed lots of people when its first video was revealed to the world last week.

Now, after confirming that it brings some major changes to the world of Skyrim, Bethesda has revealed a full list of details about the DLC, which takes players back to the land of Morrowind, more specifically to one of its coastal islands – Soltheim.

Explore Beyond Skyrim - Leave the province of Skyrim and travel to the coastal island of Solstheim. Encounter the Dark Elven settlers of Raven Rock and the native Skaal, as you unravel the mystery of a Dragonborn’s return.

Become the Ultimate Dragonborn - Harness the power of the Voice as you face off against the first Dragonborn. Wield new shouts and spells including Dragon Aspect – allowing you to summon the inner power of a dragon to deliver colossal blows and strengthen other shouts.

New Powers - Discover dark powers as you journey into a new Daedric realm. Collect books of forbidden knowledge and choose new paths for your skills and abilities.

New dungeons, creatures, weapons, and more - Suit up in Bonemold and Chitin armors and wield Stalhrim weapons as you navigate through a myriad of dungeons. Battle formidable foes like Ash Spawn, Rieklings, and more.

Besides revealing these details, Bethesda has also presented a batch of screenshots from the Dragonborn DLC, depicting the new environments that will be explored by players, as well as the enemies and the non-playable characters they’ll encounter.
