Video game developer ZeniMax Online is releasing a new interactive map for the upcoming The Elder Scrolls Online, which is designed to show those interested in the MMO the major locations they will be able to explore in the game.

The map is a combination of small text vignettes, more complex layouts for settlements and screenshots and it gives a taste of the variety and the depth of the lore included in the coming title.

At the moment, gamers can explore areas they already know from Skyrim, Morrowind and Hammerfell, but the team promises that it will deliver more information via the map in the coming months.

The Elder Scrolls Online is an MMO that will be launched in early 2014 on the PC, the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4.

A beta test is ongoing, allowing ZeniMax Online to test both the infrastructure of the game and its core mechanics, with more invites recently sent to gamers.
