Featuring illuminated keypad and pop-up display

It looks like the number of users that have no interest in cameras, Mp3 players and other advanced features that you can find in today's mobile phones is growing as each day passes by.

That would be the only logical explanation to the release of phones that, although innovative as design, have nothing else to offer. And although the days when a mobile phone with a camera and a wap browser was difficult to use are pretty much over, some phones that work just for initiating and receiving calls are still released, because there's always room for more, in this case, more easy-to-use mobile phones.

The phone presented here was built by the same Rune Larsen, that came up with the four-key concept phone, and is now proving that an even simpler phone is actually possible.

While the first concept phone might have proved to be a little more complicated for some, due to the fact that each key could be used to enter three digits, so that the user had to press the key downwards or sideward in order for the phone to differentiate between the digits, this newer concept phone is as easy to use as possible.

The phone only features a standard keypad, and a see-through display that slides down into the case when not in use. So basically, anyone who's ever seen a mobile phone of any type before will encounter no problems while using this one.

Apparently, the concept phone is going under the name of 'Eclipse Design Phone' and who knows, maybe some mobile phone manufacturer might decide to produce such a phone eventually.
