The lawyers involved in one of the most nastiest divorces Hollywood has ever seen announced that the two feuding parties, actor Charlie Sheen and his wife, former Bond girl Denise Richards, have come to an amicable agreement.

The two actors were involved, until yesterday, in a bitter fight that made it into all the newspapers. The scandal began last year, when Denise was still pregnant with Charlie's second child, after the actress claimed that her life had been threatened by her alcoholic, pill-popping husband and that she had been physically abused by him in more than one occasion.

She said that she discovered that Sheen had been visiting porn sites featuring only underage girls and that he told her that should she utter one single word of it to the press, she would never 'rest [her] head on a pillow again'. After going to the tabloids with her 17-page confession, Richards also appealed to a judge who granted her a restraining order on Sheen's name.

But the accused husband was more than prepared to fight back, by saying that all the allegations are nothing but a feeble attempt at extortion, led by Richards and her army of lawyers. Things got even more complicated when the sexy Denise was spotted by the paparazzi flirting with her best friend's husband, the Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora.

The war is over now, according to Richards and Sheen's lawyers. 'Both parties have amicably resolved any outstanding issues on an interim basis', they said after the court hearing that took place yesterday, in Los Angeles. The appointed judge is still to rule a decision on the case.
