The development teams working on Tom Clancy's The Division at Ubisoft has used the E3 2014 press conference of the company to deliver a powerful new trailer for the title, which is driven by emotion and focuses on New York City as the setting of the game.

The official description from the company states, “Tragedy has come to New York City. It's hard to see something you love destroy itself and fall apart. But someone needs to be there to pick it up, to push back. Your purpose lies amongst all of this pain. You will have to fight, to save, to put it all back together. You are the hope of New York City.”

The Division will allow gamers to become some of the special agents who are working with the government in order to retake control of the city after a powerful viral outbreak affects most of the population.

The pandemic appears on Black Friday and leads to a situation where all basic city services are destroyed and humans turn on each other in order to survive.

The new E3 2014 trailer shows gamers some of the devastation, presenting the power of the new Snowdrop engine that was created with the title in mind.

It also gives an insight into the power of the agents that work for the Division and the various ways in which they have honed unique skills in order to work together and bring order back to New York as quickly as possible.

The game is designed to use elements taken from the massive multiplayer online genre and from classic shooters in order to introduce an all-new experience that is both social and action driven.

Ubisoft has promised that it will create a flexible game experience that will allow players to choose their favorite skills and deploy a range of abilities that express their personality.

At the same time, gears will be delivered for each class in order to enhance its powers and gamers can be more efficient when working together.

The Division was supposed to arrive this year but the companies involved with it have said that extra development time will make the final game experience engaging and will introduce a new level of quality.

Tom Clancy's The Division will be launched at some point in 2015 on the Xbox One from Microsoft, the PlayStation 4 from Sony and the PC.
