Ryan Barnard, one of the developers working on The Division, says that the new title will work hard to instill a new sense of community among players who try it out, a feeling that he thinks most mainstream video games no longer offer.

He tells The Official Xbox Magazine that “There’s no interaction between players. I personally will want to say as little as possible before the game comes out so people will just play, and have a good time, and discover it for themselves.”

The Division is an online game that will see players take on the role of various types of first responders as they try to deal with a catastrophic event that hits the United States.

The team at Ubisoft Massive wants to create a very social experience that encourages players to create tight bonds and work as a unit.

The Division is expected to arrive in the fourth quarter of 2014.
