Shadowrun Returns, a classic RPG game developed and published by Harebrained Schemes, will arrive on Linux in due time.

The Shadowrun Return project has been funded with the help of Kickstarter and it's one of the most successful crowd-funded games.

The developers from Harebrained Schemes promised a Linux version if they managed to raise enough money on Kickstarter and now they are trying to keep their word.

“We have started working on the Linux version of Shadowrun Returns this week. We have our build machine up and running and have started making test builds. It’s still unclear just how much more work is necessary, because the builds are pretty rough in spots,” reads an announcement posted on the developer's blog.

Porting the Linux version is not the same as developing a game from scratch, so the waiting period shouldn't be too long.

You can buy Shadowrun Returns on any of the other supported platforms on Steam, Windows and Mac OS, if you can't wait for the Linux version. Who knows, maybe they'll released a Beta version first.
