We already know that the “Deadpool” movie is coming, since it was included in the 20th Century Fox release schedule, but what fans are now eager to know is whether or not Ryan Reynolds, the actor who briefly played Deadpool in one of the X-Men films, is going to make a return.

The reason for that inquisitiveness is the fact that Ryan managed to quite unceremoniously bury the Green Lantern franchise with his portrayal of the character, and some fans are now afraid that he might do the same thing to what is probably the most loved and hated comic book character of all time.

Comicbook claims that Rob Liefeld, Deadpool's creator, spoke on the matter over the weekend at the Comikaze 2014 expo in Los Angeles and he made a big show about Ryan being in the upcoming movie. In his view, there is no other actor who could play the role as well as Ryan could.

“Ryan is Deadpool,” Liefeld says and adds the explanation that “Look, Ryan Reynolds, he's gone through that same career arc, the guy is ridiculously talented. He has a huge, huge passion for Deadpool. Deadpool's not happening, because he was a giant star, they said, ‘Ryan, what do you want to do?’ And he said, ‘Deadpool.’ That's why it happened. They would have no faith otherwise. That movie is because of his passion. He put together the team.”

Now all you have to do is wait for the movie to come in theaters on February 12, 2016.
