Horror shooter to arrive exclusively through Valve’s Steam platform

2K Games' Darkness II is coming to Mac OS X this March, TransGaming has announced. The game is inspired by the popular comic book series produced by Top Cow Productions.

Described as “an intense first person shooter that delivers a twisted and gripping narrative of tragedy, modern crime drama, and supernatural horror,” The Darkness II puts players in the shoes of Jackie Estacado, a man who must overcome his destructive powers in order to stay alive.

Mac gamers who pre-order now will receive their activation code and download information by email on the day of release. The estimated release date confirmed by TransGaming is “March, 2012” (no specific day given).

Requirements include Mac OS X 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard) / Mac OS X 10.7.2 (Lion) or higher, Intel Core 2 Duo or better CPU, 2 GB or higher RAM, at least 10 GB of free hard drive space, AMD HD2600 / Nvidia 9600GT graphics card with at least 256 MB VRAM or higher, and Valve’s Steam client for Mac.
