In light of the tragic events inside the Aurora Mall in Aurora, Colorado, where a man opened fire on moviegoers during a “Dark Knight Rises” screening killing 14 and injuring 50, Warner Bros. has canceled all promo appearances for the day.

The film's Paris premiere will not take place today as scheduled, The Hollywood Reporter says. No word yet on whether it will be rescheduled.

Chris Nolan and the entire cast have also dropped out of all promotional interviews they were supposed to be doing today, and are refusing to comment on the shootings in any way.

Nolan and stars Christian Bale, Anne Hathaway and Morgan Freeman are all in Paris and were supposed to be talking to the press at the Bristol hotel. All media representatives were asked to leave when the hour of the interview came.

Marion Cotillard has also canceled a TV interview she was supposed to tape today.

Aurora police and the FBI are investigating the tragic event. A suspect is in custody and is being interrogated.

Reports of earlier today said that, before opening fire, he also used some kind of gas inside the Mall.
