It's been a while since we've heard anything about Britney Spears, good or bad. Aside from a couple of AA meetings outside Promises Center, where she is admitted for a almost three weeks, the media had not much to write about in relation to the former pop star. No need to despair, of course: the rumor mill has been keeping very busy these past days...

'The Sun' writes that Britney Spears is set to leave rehab early, even if her treatment will not be completed by that time. She would have finished the program sometime next week, but source from the premises claim that she has already spoken to her doctors and the management of Promises, asking for permission to leave two days before that date, so as to be able to attend her former hubby's birthday party.

The same spies tell the British newspaper that she was granted leave from Promises, to the disappointment of the entire medical staff. 'Bosses would have liked her to stay longer', a source is quoted as saying, with the mention that so many years of 'mental and physical decline' cannot be undone by a couple of weeks of detox. However, Britney argues that she is strong enough to return home. Plus, she wants to be with Kevin Federline on his 29th birthday (which he will celebrate with a big bash at a club) and with her two sons, of which she has seen very little recently.

This rumor comes after the one which claimed her condition was more severe than what was initially appreciated. Other sources from inside the rehab center went with their stories to the tabloids and what we get is this: Britney Spears is not only bald, but also bulimic and manic-depressive. According to media reports, Britney's rehab treatment has been rather slow because she hid from the doctors the fact that she has been a bulimic since she was 16. The fact that she is suffering from bipolar disorder (manic depression) was not concealed but the treatment she received for it did not work because of her other affection. Seems a bit far-fetched, right?

Then... moving on! According to other sources and media reports, there IS a sex tape featuring the pop tart. Of course, this is not the first time that we get to read about something of this type. Call it a deja-vu... with a twist! Rewind back to that wild night Britney spent clubbing, when she didn't like the outfit she had on, borrowed a bikini and a bra from a dancer and changed into it. That same night, she also engaged in other 'activities' with the friendly female dancers, if you know what I mean. And the whole cavorting with the girls and the dancing on tables was caught on tape. Should we be happy or simply sad?

'The manager [of the club] said there was a tape of them. Both girls cried about it when they got fired, but they didn't deny it. If that thing gets on the Internet, there's going to be big trouble. The tape would be up for sale to the highest bidder and some adult entertainment companies are already fighting to own it.', the 'New York Daily News' writes, citing an unnamed source.

While all of the above come from 'unnamed sources', 'insiders' and 'spies', you have to admit their theories are fun to read, in the ha! ha! way. Anyways, we will probably learn more about these rumors (meaning, if they're true or not) in a matter of days or once Britney is released from rehab.
