The Daily, News Corp.’s new iPad app, will be featuring Medialets as its mobile rich media ad platform, according to an announcement issued moments after the official introductions made yesterday in New York.

Reportedly the most widely deployed rich media ad platform, Medialets enables publishers, developers and advertisers to create, deliver and measure highly engaging rich media ads across iOS platforms, the company said.

Thanks to the integration with Medialets’ mobile rich media ad platform, The Daily can support the full-range of rich media ad formats, including Banners, Adaptables, Expandables and Interstitials, said The Daily team.

These elements are able to tap into the full capabilities of mobile devices and attract top tier advertisers, according to The Daily.

An impressive roster of leading brand advertisers is available upon debut, including HBO, Land Rover, Macy’s, Paramount Pictures, Pepsi, Verizon and Virgin Atlantic.

“Over the past year, News and Information apps have proven to be a compelling category for advertisers. Rich, creative ad units perform exceptionally well in these habit-forming apps, and we expect that trend to continue for The Daily," said Medialets CEO Eric Litman.

"Our mobile rich media ad platform enables The Daily to create, deliver and measure the high-performing rich creatives that attract top tier advertisers and drive unparalleled consumer engagement."

“Innovation in our advertising is just as important and integral to The Daily as the advances you’ll see around our content and technology,” said Greg Clayman, publisher of The Daily. “Medialets allows us to work with brands in a creative, engaging way that is also meaningful and impactful to their bottom line."

The Daily is a free download for all iPad users and requires iOS 4.2 or later to run. Use the link below to download the app now. Usage is free of charge for the first two weeks.
