Blizzard announced that it plans to release the terrors that lurk within the floating necropolis of Naxxramas to adventurers seeking to make a name for themselves in Hearthstone, on either PCs, Macs or iPads, starting on July 22 in North America and on July 23 in Europe.

Curse of Naxxramas: A Hearthstone Adventure, the first of the single player adventure content packs planned for Blizzard Entertainment’s popular collectible card game, will make its first chapter, the Arachnid Quarter, available for all those brave enough to face its challenges for free, part of a month-long celebratory event.

The entire Curse of Naxxramas adventure is composed of the Arachnid Quarter, Plague Quarter, Military Quarter, Construct Quarter, and Frostwyrm Lair. Subsequent wings will open every week from July 22/23, one at a time, and players will be able to unlock them and gain permanent access to the challenges within by paying either in-game gold or with real money.

The corridors of the Arachnid Quarter are home to some powerful bosses, in the form of Anub’Rekhan, Grand Widow Faerlina, and Maexxna. By defeating these bosses, you have the chance to add new, exciting cards to your collection, as well as to get a taste of the perilous moments that await ahead.

We’ll keep our eyes open in the meantime, and come back with any additional information as soon as it becomes available.
