The Goths from Siouxsie and the Banshees have kept silence for over a decade. Nothing has been heard of them for quite a while.
But they decided they should come back in showbiz. Therefore, they want to present new versions of their old albums, from the 70s and 80s - "The Scream" (1978), "Join Hands" (1979), "Kaleidoscope" (1980) and "Juju" (1981). The band's catalog shall be re-worked on and it will come out in the UK on June 1st. No news yet about an American release.
The new catalog will also include unreleased tracks and some various demos. For example to "Kaleidoscope" will be added 10 songs, contemporary with the album's first release but unheard by fans until now.
Severin, the group's bassist, declared for Billboard that the difficult part in finding old materials was to remember what to look for. Indeed, a goth atmosphere prolonged for decades could do serious harm to memory!
Robert Smith, the vocalist and "heart" of The Cure, decided to help Siouxsie create their catalog and maybe give a helping hand to Severin's disturbed memory. We might also receive a brand new album from Smith and Siouxsie after the "Blue Sunshine", their first collaboration from 1983.
