Ubisoft has revealed more information regarding the endgame of its upcoming online racer The Crew, talking about the different options that players will have once they progress through enough of the content.

The racer offers you the continental United States of America as your own personal playground, with many of its iconic landmarks recreated in-game. The developers have mentioned that in order to drive from one coast to another, you'll have to spend around 90 minutes continuously speeding on the highways, which means that it's a pretty big place.

Starting out

You'll be able to carve your own path across America and write your own story. As the game has a pronounced social component, you'll be able to take on various challenges and come together with like-minded individuals, in order to boost your Crew's cred and fame.

Of course, you'll be able to up and leave at any point, and your mates will be able to do the same, just hit the road and discover the wonders and challenges of a different city, or simply explore the countryside and enjoy the view.

The Crew features a progression system that tracks your status, and as you climb up the ranks, you'll be met with increasingly difficult challenges that you'll have to overcome, and the developers say that the endgame is pretty tough.

How the endgame feels

The latest entry on the company's blog talks about how later in the game, the differences between the cars become more pronounced than in the beginning, due to the fact that players will be able to improve and modify certain aspects of their vehicles.

The post informs that the cars will handle completely differently, with some types requiring that you always keep your foot on the brakes, while others enabling you to drive on fearlessly, without having to worry about slowing down.

"The most noticeable aspect of this late-game content? How differently each type of car handles. While this is clear early on in The Crew, it feels even more pronounced during these late-game races and missions. Barreling up a mountain path using a Raid Spec car is a completely different experience than finesse driving with a Circuit Spec ride," the blog entry reads.

What's there to do

The Faction Wars are The Crew's variant of player versus player interaction, to put it simply. Players will gain access to the feature early on, and will be able to join one of five different factions.

Upon joining a faction, drivers will gain access to a range of missions, some of which will be single-player, while others will focus on crew action. Playing through the mission will enable players to rank up within their faction, and earn more cash with which to get better vehicles and upgrades.

The social component of The Crew makes it so that as factions grow, new missions become available, and at the end of every month, the faction with the most reputation points will earn additional rewards and exclusive content.

The Crew is slated for a November 11 release in North America and a November 13 launch in Europe, headed to the PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 platforms.
