Ubisoft and Ivory Tower confirm that The Crew, their multiplayer-only racing experience, has a brand-new themed DLC, in the form of the Raid Car Pack, not to mention a new update that brings a variety of enhancements to the game.

The Crew launched in December of last year and delivered a pretty novel multiplayer-only racing experience that brought together mechanics seen in MMORPGs, with a huge open world and a lot of varied cars.

The game hasn't exactly reached the heights Ubisoft had hoped at the beginning, but it still commands a pretty loyal following across its platforms, in the form of PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Xbox 360.

The Raid Car Pack and update are live for The Crew

Now, after rolling out different updates and add-ons, Ubisoft confirms that a fresh expansion is live, in the form of the Raid Car Pack, which includes quite a lot of varied cars. The DLC is accompanied by a special update that tunes existing cars and adds new customization options.

First up, the actual DLC brings forth some fresh cars, in the form of the McLaren F1, the Volkswagen Touareg NF, and the Cadillac Escalade.

The free update brings forth new faction missions for all players, tasking them with smashing crates in the Treasure Hunt quests, going on adventures in Jurassic Raid, or go on dirt races on Black Hills. Last but not least, they can also race against the clock in the Let It Snow missions.

The free patch for The Crew also brings new tuning specs for six cars, not to mention new chrome colors and lacquered interiors.

A fresh connection detection tool is also a part of the multiplayer game right now, which brings tips for players who are encountering problems when going online.

A variety of PvP missions have been redesigned, to either shorten or extend the distances for better balance.
