Ubisoft has confirmed that it's going to unleash a special The Crew closed beta test stage on the PS4 and Xbox One platforms in late September and that fans can manifest their interest in the upcoming online racing game right now.

The Crew is set to appear this November and so far Ubisoft has made sure to hype up the online racing experience, its huge open world, and the many different real-life vehicles that are included in its extensive roster, from regular machines to supercars or hypercars.

The game, besides receiving plenty of videos or screenshots, also got not one but two different closed beta stages on the PC platform, as Ubisoft wanted many fans to be able to try out the game and its online infrastructure, while sharing feedback with the development teams at Ivory Tower and Ubisoft Reflections.

Now, Ubisoft has confirmed that a beta for The Crew is also going to take place on the PS4 and Xbox One platforms, allowing select owners of the two new consoles from Sony and Microsoft to see how The Crew handles on their own platforms.

The Crew closed beta for PS4 and Xbox One is set to kick off in late September, according to the official announcements, and those interested in trying out the online game can already manifest their interest and register for a spot in the test phase on the official Crew Beta website.

In terms of content, Ubisoft confirms that The Crew console beta will also include the full open world, meaning players can travel from one side of the United States to the other across the huge road network that's available in the online game.

The Midwest portion of the map has all the missions and skill challenges that are present in the final version of the game, while the East Coast only has the skill challenges. The rest of the map (the South, the Mountain States, and West Coast) are available just for free roaming.

"For the purposes of this Closed Beta, we will have missions and skill challenges available only in the Midwest and challenges in the East Coast. The final game will, of course, have missions and skill challenges throughout the entire U.S. map!"

"You will also have access to two PvP lobbies, one in the Midwest and the other on the East Coast, where several races will be waiting for you to prove your skills against other players," Ubisoft said about the upcoming beta.

The Crew is set to debut in November and look forward to hearing more about the closed beta on PS4 and Xbox One soon.
