Ubisoft has released another gameplay trailer for the upcoming racing MMO The Crew, highlighting more of the game's features, including the strong social component.

The game will have players start the great driving adventure on the coast of the Pacific, and will have the entirety of the continental United States of America as their playground, including a lot of iconic landmarks recreated for gamers to visit and enjoy.

Humble beginnings

Gamers will start off with a vehicle not worthy of their noble selves, but through perseverance and cunning, they will be able to climb the ranks and upgrade their ride, making it increasingly powerful and faster.

The Crew will challenge players with many missions spanning the continent, but they'll also be able to explore and enjoy the view. That is, until one of the many other players in the game rams you into the treeline and leaves you scratching your head next to the smoking husk that used to be your favorite ride.

You can join or leave crews at any time, and all your hard work can be put to use by upgrading your car in the garage, enabling you to take on even more challenging endeavors.

A greater focus on social interactions

As The Crew focuses a lot on social features, you can team up with other players and start rivalries with opposing gangs, racing through cities and the countryside alike.

The studio has explained that gamers will be offered a wide range of choices when it comes to selecting online partners and deciding when to team up and work together in order to achieve a certain goal, and there will be many crew-specific missions where you have to battle rivals for a certain prize.

However, as The Crew aims to simulate a lot of cities in America, you'll be free to hit the road and jump ship whenever you feel like it, and you'll always find someone to drive around with or challenge, without ever having to worry about missing out on opportunities to explore the sprawling game world.

The Crew is headed to PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Xbox 360 on November 11, this year.

Ubisoft will hold a special closed beta test at the end of the month, offering online motorists a chance to engage in the massively multiplayer online racing video game ahead of its launch.

If you're interested in visiting some of the iconic landmarks of the US for yourself, head over to the official The Crew beta website and register.
