A brand new closed beta test stage for The Crew, the upcoming online racing game from Ubisoft, has just kicked off and Ubisoft has confirmed that it's made plenty of tweaks to the game since the conclusion of the previous trial phase.

The Crew is among the few all-new intellectual properties that are set to appear this fall, and Ubisoft has hyped up the multiplayer-only racing experience by revealing plenty of great screenshots, videos, and details.

However, the best promotion for the game was a special closed beta stage that took place a few weeks ago and delivered a pretty decent experience, allowing players to explore the game's huge map, compete in some of the story-based events, as well as go on different challenges with friends and rivals.

The beta stage was relatively successful, but it was clear that the game needs more polishing before its actual launch.

Now, in order to gather even more feedback, another closed beta stage kicked off earlier this week on the PC platform. Invitations have already been sent to those who registered their interest for the second test phase and many have already gone inside the open world racing experience.

In order to tempt those who were unimpressed with the game's first beta, Ubisoft has now detailed the many improvements that it's made since the conclusion of that test phase.

"Thanks to your feedback from our first closed beta, the team was able to fix and improve several elements of the game. You’ll find bellow the latest fixes and changes that have been applied to the game for the second PC Closed Beta," Ubisoft said on the official website.

Quite a lot of major problems have been resolved, from missions that couldn't be completed if the game was running with a low framerate or had multiple control devices plugged in, to queue issues when a lot of players were logging in at the same time.

The session system has been overhauled while graphical and rendering issues have been eliminated in quite a lot of situations.

The voice chat system is now off by default, but if players turn it on, they'll find that its quality has been greatly improved. From the Audio section of the menu, you can also select the option to mute player voices. Various skills have been tweaked as well.

Ubisoft pledges to continue listening to fans about The Crew's new beta and is certainly going to continue improving the game ahead of its release this fall for PC, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
