Some issues are already solved but others persist

The Crew publisher Ubisoft confirms that it's aware of several situations in which players of the online racing game aren't getting up to date statistics from the game's servers and that it's investigating the situation in order to find a fix.

The Crew launched earlier this month across the PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Xbox 360 platforms. The title delivered an online-only racing experience that's reliant on the game's servers to get all the necessary data about progression, unlocks, and much more.

As you can imagine, this reliance, coupled with the not-so-stellar server strategy employed by publisher Ubisoft, resulted in a fair amount of frustration, as often the servers would stop responding, so players were booted out of the game and back to the menu screen, where they encountered an error when trying to reconnect.

Other issues also affected the game

While that was pretty serious, others were also greeted when they logged back in with out-of-date stats concerning different things in the game.

Ubisoft confirms on the official forums that it's aware of the issue and that with the latest patch, servers should provide the most up to date data for players.

"Lately, some players have been encountering an issue where some game statistics where lost. Our team has been looking into it and was able to identify the issue. What was happening is that the server was sometimes unable to load your stats and erasing them."

Some problems are now fixed but others are still present

While the patch solves this situation, there might also be cases where the data still isn’t properly displayed, so until that new issue gets fixed, players are advised to repeatedly log out and back into The Crew.

"With today’s Patch, the server will no longer be erasing your statistics however it might still be displaying the wrong stats. In short, your stats are no longer reset but they might not be properly displayed. Be sure that the team will be fixing this last issue for good in a future patch, until then, if you want to see your stats you can log off and log back into the game a couple of times and you should see them properly."

The publisher also confirms that some stats might have been lost altogether during the latest period of server maintenance, but that the team is looking into the matter. According to the statement, no major data, such as cars, money, or levels, was lost, but it's unclear just what got erased.
