The development team Ivory Tower and publisher Ubisoft announce that they are delaying the launch date for The Crew on all platforms until December 2 in order to launch a second closed console beta for the experience, which will allow the two companies to gather more feedback and make changes to the core mechanics.

Julian Gerighty, the creative director working on the racing experience, is quoted on the official site as saying that "Our philosophy remains to deliver the best game possible. We’re all committed to delivering a revolutionary experience in the driving genre and we can’t wait for The Crew to be in the hands of the players."

The second console beta for The Crew is set to take place during the month of November, but no clear dates have been announced so far.

The racing title can be played on the PC, the Xbox One, the 360 and the PlayStation 4.

For the moment, Ubisoft has not offered any details on which core features were deemed to need more testing or what it plans to do if the gamers chosen to try them out in a new closed beta once again offer negative feedback.

The Crew will allow players to race across the United States and to band together in groups that share interests.
