The development studio that created Viewtiful Joe, Okami, Steel Batalin and God Hand closed down. Capcom, the main shareholder of Clover, decided to shut it down.

In a press release, Capcom explained that Clover has met the goal of developing unique and creative original home video game software, but for promoting management resources in order to enhance the efficiency of Capcoms' development power, the administration board has decided to close down the studio.

Nothing was discussed about Clover's employees, but maybe the developers of Okami and the Viewtful Joe series, would not have such a difficult time in finding a job as they received many critical acclaims for these titles.

The dissolution of the "creativity lover" studio, as Clover was named, will take place at the end of March 2007.

Clover was founded back in 2004 as a result of a Capcom reorganization decision dating from 2002. The president of Clover at that time was named Atsushi Inaba.
