These days, what you usually see in an official trailer are the best shots from the film it’s promoting. This doesn’t apply to “The Conjuring,” which has been released hours ago.

The trailer reveals almost nothing of the film save for the most important plot detail: we have a single mother of two moving with the girls in a new, huge country house.
They’re happy together but that won’t last for long, because the house is haunted by what appears to be an evil spirit of a child keen on clapping out of the most unexpected places, like a closet or the basement.
“The Conjuring” stars Lili Taylor, Ron Livingston, Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga, and is directed by James Wan. It will be out in July.
