TECHNOLOGY

The Complete New Yorker on a Gadget

- More than 4,000 issues on an external drive

By: Anca Rusu, Technology Editor

Everyone loves the cartoons from The New Yorker, the famous publication that offers neutral political analysis, poetry, and information regarding every aspect of our society life.
But what will you say if I tell you can have more than 4,000 issues dating back 1925 on a little external drive or on a DVD? You will think I’m kidding, because you probably already bought the big book that features all the cartoons taken from The New Yorker.

The external drive is already available on the retail market and can be purchased at $300.

Nevertheless, you can also purchase another little wonder of technology – the PlayAway Book, a device that features earbuds, a battery and a bunch of books to choose from, such as "Anansi Boys," John Grisham's "The Broker," Stephen King's "Cell" and the famous "The Da Vinci Code". Each title costs $34.95, and is powered by an AAA battery.

There is also a player that benefits from the Audible Book online service – Iriver’s latest gadget, the new version of the previous model T10, which offers 2 GB of storage capacity and easy access to any audio title signed AudibleReady right out of the box.

All the gadget fans who will buy an iriver T10 media player will receive a free book from Audible. Therefore, you can choose from some of the most well-known ‘library jackpots’ such as "1984", George Orwell, "It's Not about the Bike", Lance Armstrong, "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe", C.S. Lewis, "The Silence of the Lambs", Thomas Harris, "The Soul of Capitalism", William Greider, "Talk to the Hand", Lynne Truss or "The Time Traveler's Wife", Audrey Niffenegger.
