New action flick drops in theaters on April 6, looks pretty generic

Bruce Willis and the “Man of Steel” himself Henry Cavill are teaming up for film that promises to be an insane ride that will take the viewer in different corners of the world. The first trailer for “The Cold Light of Day” is above.

Cavill is a young American who's holidaying with his family in Spain. It's clear they're well off since they have their own private yacht, from which his folks go missing while he's out to fetch some food.

As he sets out to find them, he learns that his own dad (Bruce Willis) is actually a CIA agent, caught in negotiations with a woman (Sigourney Weaver) who's using the family as leverage.

Somewhat predictably, a suitcase is involved. We don't know its contents and we don't know why Weaver's character wants it, but she wants it badly.

Luckily, two can play that game and, as it turns out, Cavill's apparently innocent young man can also be a fighter like his dad.

“The Cold Light of Day” arrives in theaters on April 6.
