MMORPG previously scheduled for a second quarter of 2008 release got delayed a little bit by the developers in order to further "polish" the game and optimize it a little. The Chronicles of Spellborn is expected to be released sometime during this autumn and no further delays are in sight since the developing team was pleased by the beta testing results.

Following the testing phase, which started this March, Spellborn NV decided to make a revision to the server infrastructure and other technical issues - the gameplay and graphics matched the high expectations of the public and will generally remain unchanged. However, in reworking the tools and the network code, the developers now want to ensure that the flow and performance of gameplay live up to the general expectations and they also plan to lay the foundation which allows them to quickly expand the game, thus generating more income.

The European publisher Frogster Interactive declared that they have found a, "renowned MMOG publisher" to be a potential publisher for The Chronicles of Spellborn in the United States, and they have already signed a letter of intent. However, the name is currently a secret, but Frogster declared that "the potential licensor will require a lead time of six months at least".

And this is one of the reasons the game got delayed in the first place - Frogster and Spellborn NV want to release the game simultaneously in Europe and the US, so they need the time to upgrade the server architecture. The closed beta testing continues and one hundred more people were accepted to take part in the process.

In The Chronicles of Spellborn, players enter into an impressive online scenario with beautiful landscapes, majestic cities and the remnants of an ancient civilization and, together with their allies or alone, a fantasy world where danger meets legendary heroes.
