China has probably passed the point where it can still be considered an emerging market, but it is still looked upon as a sort of measuring post for others, due to the high population.

This is one reason why there are reports about product shipment levels in the area.

This once, we are looking at information about the TV market there.

According to Digitimes, quite a few of the flat-panel television sets sold there throughout 2012 were smart TVs.

In fact, 37% were TVs with integrated processors and software capable of performing tasks normally reserved to PCs, like web streaming and browsing, social networking site access, etc.

The percentage is set to rise this year (2103) and we might see quite a few deliveries of Ultra HD TVs as well.
